Thanks for the input on other vendors everyone. I've used Advanced Circuits almost exclusively for going on 15 years. Nothing but the best quality PCBs. Great service. One time about 10 years ago they were going to be late on an order and they called to ask if we could make a pickup the LA airport in 3 hours. Turned out they shipped the order via next-available-flight on United Airlines.

I've used SilverCircuits.com with great success on multiple projects. Free panelization, quick turn around. Quality. Cheap.

Almost forgot about this thread. Here's one worth a look.

http://www.batchpcb.com/

They batch up PCB's souch that a small order goes through as a big order. Cost's $2.5 per sqin 2 layer, and $8 per sqin for 4 layer.

The also have some interestintg open layouts.

FYI: I used GoldenPhoenixPCB and everything went fine - no problems with files, a little weird getting the quote how I wanted (saved $10 by calling it a special + extras), but all in all the boards showed up, fast, and so far the ones I've looked at seem fine. Certainly more problems with my layout than with the manufacturing. :-P

I get my first batch of PCBs back from seeedstudio. I took advantage of their "trinity" bundle, $89 for 3 designs, got about 5-8 pcs for each design.

I tried the pcbs from 2 of the designs, both were problem free. Visually, all the traces look uniform and straight.

I made a mistake on one of the pcbs where the thermal reliefs were 2mil in width, even those came out well. The specs on their website say 6 mil width is min, they should have notified me that my pcb did not pass their drc, but they did the 2 mil widths and it worked out.

Visually they do not look as good as other places because the some vias have solder mask over them while some do not.

Turn around time was about 1 month.

Seeedstudio is like batchpcb to me in terms of pricing for low qty and turn around time, but specs are much superior.

PCBpool is still my fav place for protos; good spec, good price, good turn around time, free stencil, fantastic quality.

A new low for PCB fabrication, price wise of course.

$12 bucks, great specs, solder mask and silkscreen included. Cheaper than a pint of beer and wings. Never tried them yet, will put try them out form my next pcb design.

Very good quality, made in the US.

Same as above, made in Germany, more expensive for small boards.
