Well anything, the parser can be customized with your own parsing rules :)

Maybe JSON following along with the current data file formats...

Isn't the JSON parser a specific stand alone parser? Just guessing, but assumed it was.

The version we are using came with two parts, a standalone and one that uses the internal parser. However the standalone parses more unit tests than the other, so I went with that.
