Re: FreeEMS-Loader

Just accidentally started doing a load with rip, I want an abort button too! I hit about a few times before I realised it wasn't abort... lol. move about to a tab as johntramp suggested, and put abort in there for canceling a load gone wrong :-)

also the buffer stuff that you're aware of via irc.

I hope the wedding went flawlessly.

I'm currently using 6db3d838f9956... hash loader with much success. The following is a list of minor issues and improvements to be made on it:

loader - if pull cable, cant disconnect, cutecom does it automatically
loader - reset from freeems
loader - ditch boost and/or reduce delay at startup +1
loader - ace, verifyduring, verifyafter, verify against file
loader - add cancel during load
loader - proper greying out of buttons, unsure, but this could already be done.
loader - second or later load, clear from 100% to zero before erase bar starts
loader - show one bar at beginning of loader bar graph stuff such that user gets early feedback
loader - make bar graphs more granular instead of in chunks

Hopefully we can get some of these sorted very soon.

I'm running the latest commit from tonight and it worked on the mac, but there are some issues.

It's usable, IF I'm careful.

http://powerefi.com/files/FreeEMS_Loader-installer.exe

[00:17] <FreeAir> [23:52] <FreeAir> also
[00:17] <FreeAir> ends of lines will be filled with blanks in the rip
[00:17] <FreeAir> FF is blank
[00:18] <FreeAir> and
[00:18] <FreeAir> the bit near the SM
[00:18] <FreeAir> is just wrapped differently
[00:18] <FreeAir> so
[00:18] <FreeAir> it was succesful

Works! Just posting from Spanish win 64 starter in which i got 3% through a burn before falling asleep, waking up a few hours later, and aborting. I think it's the machine/driver not the app, so I'll fiddle more now.

17.5 minutes for a normal load :-o first 11 minutes covered the first 33%, and this is WITH settings change from viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1844 plus lowering some latency to 1ms from 16 or something else in Spanish. Vids to come, for amusement.
