Misleading and out of date information - post it here!

Post by Fred »

Hi, it was pointed out today that this thread is severely (6 months) out of date :

http://www.diyefi.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=119

I need to work on it for sure, but with such limited time these days, I'm open to submissions of information and threads to replace or supplement existing stuff.

Jared is working on the freeems website on sourceforge (even if just a little) which is great, but other help is welcome too.

Specifically, if you find something screwed like the above thread, post about it here and I'll try to get someone to sort it out or sort it out myself.

The person that let me know about that thread was very understanding, but for others, please try to understand that there are only 24 hours in a day. Currently I spend 3 of them asleep, 8 working, 5 traveling, and the balance online working on this forum, the code, the docs, eating, showering, and keeping in touch with my friends. IE, I'm doing my best, but there isn't enough time to do "good enough" anymore.

If you want to help, either submit a link with a quoted post of updated text in this thread, or an entire new thread with - draft in the title. I can move posts and post content around and change thread titles/relocate them easily etc etc.

Thanks for the heads up on that one, if anyone has anymore, please let us all know in this thread so that others aren't led astray.

Cheers,

Fred.

Wow that's so old, I didn't know it existed. Perhaps adding something like "out dated" to the thread subject like the "56K beware" note will help as a short term quick fix.

I've almost got the tranny installed it the little red Suby, I think I can make more time for freeEMS after that's back up and running. Good to keep a running list here as a place to keep track of what should be updated.
