A FreeEMS vehicle did a number of passes with two drivers today in Florida!

They did not beat Chris' run above, but considering the lack of boost, the best run was quite good!

I'll let Rob and/or Steve make their own entries to the official thread :-)

Still waiting for the above people to post, but I've been handed this thing:

...for a possible attempt at breaking Chris' time this weekend. Should be an interesting experience regardless! :-)

More news as it comes to hand!

Today during testing the mystery vehicle happened to accelerate hard from a stop just as an R32 GTR went past. They noticed the hard acceleration and reciprocated. Their acceleration wasn't sufficient to increase the distance between the two vehicles. I am therefore now confident that it'll be in the thirteens tomorrow. :-D

Datalog says 12.687 seconds from stop to 160kph, slightly downhill, but not on a sticky surface. And a total of 15.375 to 174kph in fourth before lifting off. I can't be bothered matching that with distance with integration and so forth, but I guess I can't fall outside that range, and I guess it's nearer the lower number than the higher one. Alarm set for 5:30am, game on!

Actual runs are labeled with an empty file of the same name plus ET on the end:

FreeEMS-datalog-2017-01-29T150418.629+1300.bin-14.213

EDIT: Vids are 137-0056 for the fast run, and 137-0031 for the slow run. Not sure if any other runs got recorded, or not, but that covers the extremes, anyway :-)

EDIT2: The in-car gopro style vids look to be excellent. I will have to pull them up no a big screen and sort the shit from the clay, but should get some good footage out of it in parts, at least. Came on with the key each time, so lots of boring vids of me playing with laptop and helmet etc, but others that were good, I think.
