FreeEMS Logo Design Competition

Post by Fred »

Well, I can weld, and code, and fish, and shoot, and you name it, but I suck at art :-)

This thread is the official place to have your art recognised in an automotive context.

Do your worst, voting (if anyone draws anything) will be done later.

My idea of art... :

I might give it a try, but don't hold your breath. Keep this thing running long enough and you'll get something from me.

I'll have a go if I get a few ideas.

Here's a drawing I did on Photoshop from a sketch if you wanted to see some of my work,

Nice :-) Kinda reminds me of how my ute will look IRL ;-)

The avatar is also yours?

There is no rush on this, I just thought it might be fun to see what people came up with :-)

Over 9,000 hours in MS paint gives you this.

The original is 1800 x 1800 pixels and 240 colors. Was designed to scale to an icon or smaller and still look recognizable. Sorry it's not a vector image. =(

Stupid forum is resizing (poorly) the attachment so I'm embedding.

Yes I did create my avatar as well.

Nice work Ben. For a logo a clean simple design is usually best.

If anyone has a rough sketch of their ideas for a logo I might be able to draw it up in Photoshop for them (they can have the creator credit too).

My only preference is for the word FreeEMS to be one piece as I just typed it, and to not use the diyefi burnout machine logo, and to have a logo at all. Beyond that its fairly free form, we can put a vote to it when there are enough decent ones up. I know Rob (who did the diyefi one) is going to have a crack at some stage. There is no particular hurry though.

Had a few spare minutes and came up with these. The first two are modified from old Briggs & Straton logos that I found http://www.steamengine.com.au/misc/logos/index.html
I liked the Lister logo but didn't have time to make a similar script.

They're a bit rough, just floating a few ideas out there.
