UltimateLogger Introduction

Post by Fred »

Today I lost 30 minutes of logging because of a missing feature in another tool and a hardware issue combined. I don't fully understand the hardware issue, but I do know it can be handled in software. I also know that I have 95% of the code required to do this, already written, released, and immediately usable. Therefore to avoid lost fuel and time and data, I shall put some work into this as soon as I clear my current immediate backlog for ULV. This is another case of being let down by existing stuff, and needing something that I can rely upon 100%. No offense intended, I simply can't afford to lose time, fuel, money and data in this way. Perhaps I won't even get around to doing this in the short term. Perhaps someone will come up with a hardware solution first. Who knows! Time will tell :-)

Got 1.5 logs in today before this happened again. My car is notoriously noisy though. A normal user should not suffer from these issues.

Good that I documented this at the time. Time heals all wounds and I'd totally forgotten about this. I got my full interrogation logger working a few months ago and intend to keep expanding it as much as possible.
