I would love to help out with this project.
I have a degree in electronics, but It has been 10 years since I have done assembly programming on a 8051 MC.
It might take me a little while to get up to speed. I am reading your info now.

Re: How can I help
Hi Danny and welcome
We are all here to learn. Start with reviewing the info available on this forum (and feel free to constructively criticize the lack of info needed for a person new to this like yourself)
Also familiarize yourself with the technologicalarts.ca board we plan on using and the MCU it's based around (freescale's 9s12XDP512) and of course the essential requirements of an engine management system.
Cheers

10 years isn't THAT long.
I've never done it so you're obviously 10 years ahead of me!

OK Alex, I know you are right :-pababkin wrote:and feel free to constructively criticize the lack of info needed for a person new to this like yourself
Perhaps make a list in the appropriate thread (i forget where) about what should have been more obvious and wasn't as you go? As Alex points out, this would be helpful for those that follow you :-)

Indeed, I am back. I think 10 days is the longest I have been without internet/PC in about 3 years at least, maybe more like 10 LOL felt good to just look at the sky and listen to the waves.
Is it just me, or is there a duplicate to this thread floating around with a LOT more posts in it? I might have to merge them later if so...
Thanks for filling in in my absence.
