Re: Puma board (spin 1)
Today I had nasty news.
After the 3rd day struggling with local customs (30km away) to get a package whose content was a big ? to me, I finally got it.
Unfortunately, it was gearhead's board, that for unknown reasons didn't made it to the USA. If a package is returned to remitent it MUST say why it is returned, now I don't know why it failed. I would be less upset if this happened 10 days after the shipment, but they waited for 2.5 months to do this.
I'm re sending the board asap, although is kinda late...

I'd also be interested in spin2 when ready.
For my interests I have a V6 KL with COP's
trigger is a 36-1 crank wheel with a single pulse cam wheel.
Do we have a list or expressions of interest page yet ?

Re: Puma board (spin 1)
Not yet, and such a page would come with some warnings about just how much change has gone into spin 2 relative to spin 1. You'd have to consider spin 2 a fresh test setup and not a bug fix release, that's for sure. I'm strongly considering forking an existing design and producing reference FreeEMS hardware once I hit Spain. It would focus on simplicity and reliability, with no icing. I think it's important for there to be choice, I was hoping to get a reference design out of someone else, but if I have to go ahead and DIY it, I guess that's the spirit of the site! :-)

Don't be hard on you.Eli wrote:ok i feel dumb. how do i order a board?
There are some spin1 spares left, but I'd recommend to wait for the next release. Spin1 assembly manual seems to be inadequate too.
In fact, if it were for me I'd close up the next release to a really small crowd, and it will come assembled, so I don't have to spend development time in docs/support in such an early stage.
Oh, FYI, its a programmed 3 spin dev. I wish, but I don't expect to have a production-ready board by spin2. Keep in touch to see how this is going :-)
