TODO updated, next up is cap and ground lift mounting. Then find fuse holders that are suitable. Lastly, I'll wire up the power supply and test that.

After that I wait for the heatsink to arrive, schematics to be drawn up, or do them myself, PCB layout to be done, or do it myself, then order, assemble, and enjoy!

NO! I _STILL_ haven't found any reasonable secondhand speakers to buy :-( This might be the biggest challenge of all.

Today, what better to do than assemble some heavy-duty circuits! Pics to come in next post, but for now: TODO updated!

Current TODO consists of:
  • Install new power socket/switch/fuse
  • Bolt down both bridge rectifiers
  • Figure out how to mount the filter caps and do it
  • Wire up all power supply components and test
And then finally:
  • Get schem/layout done

Heat sink arrived! It has a somewhat "Don't fuck with me!" look to it, so I thought I'd play the same part for the shot:

Usually I'm smiling in photos, so today I thought I'd be different. This is as close as I can fake to "Furious Fred" like the one that appears when people nearly run him over in Barcelona.

With that heat sink, I think you are covered. I would be more worried about gun smoke from your neighbors, after you turn the volume up :)
