This is an australian engine designed specifically for the modern falcon which is not found in the US or europe. It is 6cyl Inline OHC iron block alloy head 4L. Its long stroke and fairly large ports/valves make for an engine with good torque and the possibility of power if modified correctly. There is now a turbocharged DOHC variant in the most recent falcon model which is highly popular here. The downside of the newest model however is weight, they are about 3-400kg heavier than the earlier e-series models which never came turbocharged. By adding a suitable turbo and all the things that go with it - fueling, ignition, ems etc they are very potent engines. My engine has done 300,000kms and the bottom end is exactly how it came out of the factory, its never been rebuilt or anything. My house mates made 520rwhp on a stock bottom end and was fine for about 30,000ks (engine was 250,000 when fitted) before it broke a ring land.SiFlyBy wrote:I need more info on this.
