Re: Jamies Fe3 Van Project
went to pickapart and there were some bluebird rims with new tyres for $180 so I got them, also go a cas and coilpacks out of a galant which I will mod to run in the van
Re: Jamies Fe3 Van Project
That CAS looks exactly like the "DSM" ones that you see pictures of around the net. How do you intend to extend the drive to it? I had wondered about machining the head back a bunch to save space, perhaps that CAS is a candidate for such a mod? I can't remember if that idea is feasible or not though.
Keep up the good work, oh and, nice video! :

A very good effort considering your clutch is almost totally gone!

Re: Jamies Fe3 Van Project
im not sure yet on how I will get it to fit the fe3 pickup but im sure something can be sorted, or just use the cas parts on the fe3s dizzy base maybe
Re: Jamies Fe3 Van Project
Yeah, the only thing you actually need from it is the cover tin and the nut/washer, the rest the fe3 stuff is the same/better anyway.

Re: Jamies Fe3 Van Project
If you find that the CAS won't fit the van, you could engineer a custom CAS thats more compact like this one :
I'm intending to emulate this guys as I think it's pretty cool!
