And some more, from outside the car (and other cars): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7baSazIdio

What engine is in that thing? How much does it weigh? Dyno results or drag results?

And something I got in the mail a few days ago:

it is a 16v 4age:)
makes 160bhp at the back wheels. more power coming for next racing season, very mild cams (about 304deg)
VERY high compression and way more ignition that you would believe would actually make power.

This is the baby one, only revs to 9k rpm, we have a few that rev to 10500

Nice. How light is it? A blacktop won't be hugely far off that, but this car will stay full weight, or maybe even gain some.

Did a bit on this tonight, will do a bit more tomorrow, and maybe fire it up.

put a few hoses on
traced a few wires
pulled alternator off to inspect/fix (couldn't get nut undone, spinning, worried of internal damage)
pulled alternator to pieces (no damage, but needs a little tender love and care before back in)
removed regulator from inner guard bracket

need to improve and reassemble alternator
figure out and hook up wiring new has 3, old has 3, regulator had 6 and is gone
reinstall alternator and belt
prop radiator vaguely into place
attach hoses to radiator
fill with used premix from the ute and water to top up
spray healthy amount of start ya bastard into it
fire it up with probably quite a lot of cranking :-D

rev rev, warm up, etc.

drive it outside
water blast the entire front end hard core
drive back inside

Nissan 2 pin, though I already have a search open. Let's see if you can tell me what the two pins are for, or the 2 KP pins, or the 6 regulator pins, are, before I finish PMing a new member with a welcome :-)

http://www.jdmbuilds.com/blog/4a-ge-wiring-for-kp60ke70

"You will find the sense wire going into a 2 pin connector coming from the battery positive terminal. Usually white on a KP60.

The dash warning light wire shares a 2 pin connector with a small yellow wire with black trace. The yellow/black trace is the 12v ignition supply. The dash wire is a heavy yellow wire also in this connector. It can be found under the battery positive terminal."

Not sure how accurate that is, or where these plugs are, but seems like it might be OK.

From the 6 in the reg, the two big ones can either be bridged, or rerouted direct to the alternator. What are the other four?

I lied, 3 pin on the old alternator, and the pins are, looking into the alternator, presumably: http://www.startermotoralternator.com/c ... alternator

So just the reg 4 to go :-)
