The stock R160 is fluid lsd. You can buy cusco lsd that is clutch type but its not cheap i think..
You have to find diff from 2001 -2006 wrx because that have 3.9 ratio!
If you want to do that cusco diff is way better from other diffs.
I had installed cuscro rs diff to my previous car ( starlet glanza ) and most of my friends had starlet's with same mods but different diff like
trd , kaaz and i think the other had quaife diff. Cusco was the best for circuit use.

Roger, will let you know what I end up getting. Not a huge rush for those parts as I won't be going the whole hog and certifying the car for more than a year.

Can you do me a tiny favour and keep the KP chatter to the KP thread? I know I started it with the diff mention, but still :-) Cheers.

Gave the sandwich plate and rubber shifter boot a clean up tonight, and moved the bits from the floor to shelves and rolled the box further into the garage, mostly with the aim of clearing the walking path into/out of the garage! Some success, though not entirely happy with where I got to with the clean up.

And the retainer plate for the above boot now rust-free and ready for some zinc primer (quite likely within the garage this evening!):

I also cleaned the flywheel, pressure plate, and worn out disk the other night, primarily so I could store them on shelves without soiling the shelves and so that they didn't stink anymore. Results:

And then I decided to weigh it while I had it in the house for pics and to dry:

Double zinc primed the retainer plate and now stored with the boot on a clean shelf: https://twitter.com/FredCookeNZ/status/ ... 6001985537
