- Obtained some 1UZ-FE head bolts in m10x1.5 from em_knaps, to suit the bell housing bolt holes in the block.
- Figured out a spacer setup to allow the overly long bolts to work, and good thing they were, too, or it would not have cleared the flex plate.
- Attached the bracket to the block
- Slid the bracket into the base
- Lowered the weight onto the base
- Folded up my crane and put it away
- Put the drain tray back under it and pulled the bung back out to drain more oil remnants
- Undid the rocker cover and sprayed some SCA $2 degreaser through all of the valve gear etc, much of the carbon stains just washed away leaving clean metal, though it was fairly dirty/black, just not well stuck on.
- Undid the dizzy cap, rotor, and CAS cover, and inspected the disk to see the style
- Cleaned around the oil feed block off bolt
- Pulled the oil feed block off bolt out and cleared blank gunk from behind it (stagnant, no flow = build up)
- Sprayed BNT brake clean down the hole until it ran more or less clear
- Measured depth of hole at 163mm with a vernier's back end, deeper than the 139.7 quoted in Rob's link as being "good" and plenty wet with oil
- Srayed CRC light penetrating oil down the now dry hole
- Reinstalled the block off bolt to keep the hole clean from dust
