Big day today, most stuff done, could have pulled it tonight but it'd have been a long night and my host was going out anyway. Still to do:
- ATF connections to radiator need to be disconnected and mess minimised.
- Fuel lines need to be disconnected and fuel captured/stored.
- Drive shafts need to be displaced out to the sides so the stubs or tripods can be pulled out of the trans/CVs.
So tomorrow I need to take with me:
- Blocks of wood
- Jack stands
- Engine crane
- Balance bar
- 940 wagon and some luck and maybe a meter and some other basic tools
So I can finish the above and lift the transaxle straight out in one big hit.
Then I need to pull the exhaust out of the car all together, too. Fog lights from front bumper. And the seatbelts and lights etc from the interior. Put the headlight back into place so it looks car-esque.
That's about it, I think.
Arrange a time/day for the scrap man to come by and take it away, then drag it out onto the street, take the wheels off, take the brakes, and rotors off, take the hubs off, remove lots of good large bolts from everywhere, then take a couple of hundred from the man and bid the body farewell.
That latter section will not be this weekend, however perhaps the next one, or sometime other soon. Need this Millenia out of my hair and out of my mate's driveway ASAP.
Fred.
