1981 Jeep Scrambler MS

Post by Den »

Have had this truck since 1982 and it is my daily drive(mostly Walmart).

Gathered all the needed sensors, TB, and made wiring harness for 1990 Sportster. Had the bike running at idle. Couldn't get enough charging power from the alternator to run the EFI. Dropped the project and went to the Scrambler.

Have made it to the fine tuning stage. :)

Yes, bikes are touchy like that! It's a shame you couldn't get the juice you needed somehow or other. Fuel pump PWM may have helped. Less dwell may have worked. More efficient coil may have helped. Lower fuel pressure might have helped. The actual ECU doesn't draw much power, but the high pressure high current gear sure does.
