Figured I should start a thread on my new toy considering I am FreeEMS'ing it!
Eye-candy first!
It already has some good bolt-ons (the ones I can remember are):
- NPC heavy duty button clutch (the missus' ass lifts off the seat when she tries to depress the clutch pedal, epicly funny to watch)
- SARD fuel pressure regulator
- Front mount intercooler (a little dinged up, so I will replace that one day)
- Boost controller (gay manual tap/bleed type) <-- this will be replaced with an eboost or similar
- Battery relocated to the boot
Current plan's are (in chronological order):
- Register it! (also go and get a potential "before" dyno power run)
- Upgrade stock turbocharger to Precision Ball-Bearing 5557SP unit and run with a TIAL 38mm MVS external wastegate (vented to atmosphere of course)
- Swap out OEM ECU internals for a new PCB running FreeEMS! see this thread for updates -->viewtopic.php?f=62&t=2257
- Plaster part of the exterior of the vehicle with FreeEMS propaganda!
- Upgrade intake manifold to front-facing plenum
- Install blow-off valve (also vented to atmosphere)
- Rebuild with good shit (forged pistons, blah, blah)
- Crank up boost to something respectable (20 - 30psi) with the use of an eboost or similar
- Get a potential "after" dyno power run
- Pull a PHAT skid! (will provide video link)
Good times ahead!

Pretty sure that's stock in the R33, or not?Dan wrote:- Battery relocated to the boot
Other order? Or low boost that the AFM can handle?- Upgrade stock turbocharger to Precision Ball-Bearing 5557SP unit and run with a TIAL 38mm MVS external wastegate (vented to atmosphere of course)

LOL! You don't HAVE to do this, but I DO appreciate it. FYI, I don't like doing this myself, so I can't really push others to do it... Both for stylistic reasons, and identifiable unique markings reasons.- Plaster part of the exterior of the vehicle with FreeEMS propaganda!
I very much look forward to that. You have the right weapon for it. I've done many under RB power myself.- Pull a PHAT skid! (will provide video link)

Re: Dan's Nissan R33 RB25DET Skyline
The battery normally resides in the engine bay as they come stock with a dicky front/side mounted intercooler.
It will be a level that the afm can handle (verified via wideband)
FreeEMS propaganda is a good thing!
Yes they do skids well hey

Re: Dan's Nissan R33 RB25DET Skyline
Battery is in the boot stock for 2 door, 4 door has it up front (where the washer bottle is)

Re: Dan's Nissan R33 RB25DET Skyline
Work is on-going with the skyline's new "FreeEMS capable" ECU...
AAC vs CLT datalogging is happening...
I have an interested buyer in my current "daily" so that will move the skyline roadworthy and registration up the priority chain!
Very close to being on the road!

Re: Dan's Nissan R33 RB25DET Skyline
My daily driver (VX Calais) is sold. Aiming to register the r33 this coming Friday!
Then it will be turbo upgrade time followed with a FreeEMS PnP install shortly after!

Re: Dan's Nissan R33 RB25DET Skyline
OK so my daily driver left my hands yesterday! Skyline roadworthy this Monday!
UNI is also finished for me for the year!
Time to get my FreeEMS PnP ecu finished for this beast!

Re: Dan's Nissan R33 RB25DET Skyline
OK so I need to replace rear shocks (already purchased), fit two new front tyre's, replace a missing exhaust hanger, remove HICAS light from gauge cluster and clean and tighten up some stuff and then she will pass the roadworthy. I should be taking it back to the guy this coming Friday (my day off) for re-inspection and final approval.
My RB25 PnP ECU is almost complete also, pending some minimal work from me today and review by Fred and whomever else is interested.
Turbo upgrade is sitting here too, waiting to be installed
