DJB Intro (Car to come)

I'm looking to build a board and tuning setup for an MY99 Legacy Wagon (liberty here in Aus) running MY99 WRX drivetrain, and want to be able to tune the thing myself.
By background I am an embedded programmer/comms/systems engineer, with experience in PCB design (little) and lots of Java and C++ experience.
Look forward to getting some good info and some good results.
