The local "torneiro" let me borrow his TIG welder, I made an anchor point and some cases. With a zinc primer.

That looks like zinc primer to me, not galvanising, esp with rust spots coming through, galvanised stuff doesn't get that for years.

That ^ , this was more of a language barrier.

The rust spots are from the chain i attached to it, I used it.
I will edit the post tough, thanks man!

That'll give you about 12 months use. Best to put more of it on, then overcoat with something that isn't porous.

Too celebrate my MIG welder aquisition, i did some big, fat and ugly welds placing the wideband holder on the exhaust.

Not the best place I know, I wanted to do it just after turbo where is more space and its tucked away, but being iron that's 23yo old and looked real rusty, didn't want to risk to make any cracks.
It should not be here much time anyways (or I hope ) Added a little plate to protect for any rocks that might fly from the tyres.

New rear panhard rod, it makes the original look like a toothpick, and its a wholle billet piece, not hollow tubing. Already powder coated with Super Pro bushings.

This truck has been throud some mods since the last post, normally a big ass winch warn 8274 winch, and a rb25det swap.
Now about the swap I would have a ton of pictures if i didn't drop my old HTC G1 into the oil pan.... They will show when i recover them.

Some details:

• The engine is a direct fit, that means bellhousing and engine mounts, as easy as take in take out.
• The rd28 oil sump fits there perfectly (it has the same bolt pattern has the rwd version of the rb25, so it will fit both versions)
• The rd28 bellhousing appear to be slighter longer than the ones in the skylines, so you will to use a rd28 flywheel, just don't use the stock as it weights 27 kilograms, the stock clucth wont last much.
• I bought the AWD version just because its was cheaper and I did not need a transmission.
• My stock ECU its from an auto, i was said it needs the transmission controller to even work, not sure about that, not looking to use it.
• I have all the OEM wiring and sensor already mounted besisdes the MAF (it didn't come with one) nor would I care to use it

I am still missing some things like the fuel regulator and my carter fuel pump is stuck on the docks for some weird Portuguese reason.

But I can start worrying about the FreeEMS part of it
I love Dan PnP Board design but I have a jaguar 0.4 that is ready for duty. I understand that the current complication about rb is the Cam Angle Sensor altough the user Hell Fire has provided sampling data about it.

So where to start now ? I can load firmware, I know my way in code, but I am very green with engines with coils on top of them, my experience is mechanical and common rail diesels.
So please mention every single thing , so I can avoid commiting errors, because real life can't be rebased

I have some Freescale MPX5700AP, I know totally overkill on the range, I ordered a bunch of MPX4250GP that have more precision.
For the IAT I have the GM Open Element.
The wideband is a Innovative MTX-L I have it from the RD28, since
the controller reads diesel minded values too, and I don't reason to replace it unless when it breaks.

Once again I have the full OEM wiring expect the MAF.

Do I need anything more ?
