Yep. I couldn't put it on the front or rear windscreen because I couldn't see out. It's not too bad there for now.
Mind if I upload that pic to "the social network" ?
Go ahead.

Just got back from an autocross event.

FreeEMS preformed flawlessly. Very happy.

Video played up all day so I might not have any footage. More details soon.

Awesome! Glad you're happy with it! :-)

Much chatter about the sticker?

As I said FreeEMS preformed perfectly. I only had 2 problems.

The video camera played up. I have the files off it and the size of the file doesn't match the play time. I will try to repair them.

The second problem I had, was on my third run. Every thing was going great and I went around the first cone. The engine was pulling hard and I was up on the CAM then nothing..... Engine died and I could not start it again. I had to get pushed off the track. I got it back to the pits and my tools and tried to work out what had happened. It turned out that the nut holding my crank angle sensor on had fallen off. Someone kindly found me another nut. It turned out to be 7/16 aircraft nylock, but I was good enough to hold the sensor in place and get me back on to the track and get me a time.

I had left the distributor in place as a backup. Before I had found the loose sensor I had tried to go back to points. Everything was working the week before but now I couldn't get a spark out of the distributor. I found that I had volts going in to the cap the hard way and I got a nice belt off the HT lead when I manually opened the points. It must be a problem with the cap or the rotor. By that time I had a replacement nut and I was back on FreeEMS.

The Mini usually attracts a lot of attention and every one that came over to talk to me, I explained that this was my first run on FreeEMS. I showed them the board and explained what it was all about and what it could do. I even corrected some people about MegaSquirt being open source.

Many people wanted to know how much and were they could get one. I had to explain that the hardware is being worked on and hopefully someone will be able sell kits or built up boards soon.

I had a great day. The car felt good and had plenty of torque. Lots of rally style drifting around cones. Probably not great for good lap times, But heaps of fun.

Correct attitude :-)

Good work, mate! Wish that I could have been there!

You're on facebook! I used to work with that girl, forever ago :-) I've requested higher res copies of any/all pics that she has of your car to do an album with. I'll let you know if she's forthcoming or not :-)

Small world.

It's a shame that the only photo with the FreeEMS sticker in it, is the one being pushed :lol2:
