Does that mean that I have to wait another month for my #1's because of walinksy's (unasked for) combined shipment?

Sorry Matthijs; hadn't realized that. Just thought combining shipment would be wise. I'll contact Andy; and have mine shipped seperatly.

It's not recommended to wait for number ones. It can cause a bladder infection.

Hello there,

I am interested on the following:

a) 1 option #2
b) 1 USBDM.
c) 1 Case
d) 1 PM Re Development Boards

I am trying to use it on a BMW 318i 1984 European Version, it is an M10 engine currently running on its stock L-Jetronic. Please let me know if you think the Jaguar is not a good fit for what I am trying to do.

If you're an admin and can see my e-mail address, please feel free to shoot me an e-mail.

I have PMed wilbertcr with the hardware cost and asked for the shipping destination.

wilbertcr:
For your BMW M10 application since I'm not familiar with the engine, I have a few questions:
  • 1. What type of crankshaft position sensor do you have (ie: VR sensor or Hall Effect sensor)?
    2. What is the crankshaft position sensor pattern (ie: 1 pulse per cylinder, 36 teeth minus 1 tooth, 60 teeth minus 2 teeth, etc...)?
    3. Does your engine have a camshaft position sensor?
    4. What kind of ignition system are you using now (ie: wasted spark ignition, coil on plug, distributor)?
    5. Which kind of ignition system do you plan on using in the future?
    6. Are your fuel injectors low impedance (approximately 1 ohm if measured with a DMM) or high impedance (9-20 ohms if measured with a DMM)?
    7. How many fuel injectors do you have on the engine?
    8. Have you added a turbocharger or supercharger, or do you plan on adding one? (I have optional MAP sensors, the standard MAP sensor is good to 250kPa, which is about 10-12 PSI of boost) For the MAP sensors, I can supply a 115kPa sensor for non-boosted engines, a 250kPa sensor for moderately boosted engines or a 400kPa sensor for wildly boosted engines. The 400kPa sensor requires an adapter board which is an additional $5.00 USD.
The reason for the questions is to make sure that the FreeEMS firmware is a good fit for your engine configuration.
Please read this thread to get an idea of the current capabilities of the FreeEMS firmware: viewtopic.php?f=54&t=1084

Also be sure to start a thread in the Users Rides section for your car so that we can learn more about your project and give advice on how to proceed:
