Acronyms

General :
EMS = Engine Management System
ECU = Electronic Control Unit, Engine Control Unit
MS = Mega Squirt
COP = Coil On Plug
CNP = Coil Near Plug
RPM = Revolutions Per Minute

Sensors :
CHT = Coolant/Head Temperature, Cylinder Head Temperature
CLT = Coolant Temperature (MS speak)
MAT = Manifold Air Temperature
IAT = Intake Air Temperature
MAP = Manifold Absolute Pressure
MAF = Mass Air Flow
VAF = Volume Air Flow
TPS = Throttle Position Sensor
CPS = Crank Position Sensor, Cam Position Sensor
CAS = Cam Angle Sensor, Crank Angle Sensor
EGT = Exhaust Gas Temperature
VSS = Vehicle Speed Sensor

Exhaust :
NB = Narrow Band
WB = Wide Band
WBO2 = Wide Band Oxygen
O2 = Oxygen
Lambda = Fuel independent AFR unit of measurement
EGO = Exhaust Gas Oxygen
AFR = Air Fuel Ratio

Software :
FOSS = Free (and) Open Source Software
ISR = Interrupt Service Routine

Hardware :
ECT = Enhanced Capture Timer
PIT = Periodic Interrupt Timer
ADC = Analog (to) Digital Converter
DAC = Digital (to) Analog Converter
ATD = Analog To Digital
BDM = Background Debug Module
PWM = Pulse Width Modulation
SCI = Serial Communication Interface
SPI = Serial Peripheral Interface

Variables :
PW = Pulse Width
FPW = Fuel Pulse Width, Final Pulse Width
TPW = Total Pulse Width
MPW = Master Pulse Width
EPW = Electric Pulse Width
IDT = Injector Dead Time
IOT = Injector Opening Time (ms speak)
BRV = Battery Reference Voltage
AAP = Atmospheric Absolute Pressure
LT = Lambda Target
VE = Volumetric Efficiency
PL = Percent Load
MFT = Master Fuel Trim
PCFT = Per Cylinder Fuel Trim
CHE = Coolant / Head Enrichment
ETE = Engine Temperature Enrichment
PSE = Post Start Enrichment
ASE = After Start Enrichment (ms speak)
TFC = Delta Fuel Correction
DFC = Transient Fuel Correction
