Yes, you heard right, I finally updated the main site. It was LONG overdue, maybe 2 years? :-/ So, if you see anything that is still out of date, please let me know...

http://www.diyefi.org/history.htm -> You should probably put in the date FreeEMS has run its first engine.
Also, the news page should be updated in case someone doesn't notice the status column on the right.

Thanks, you are right, history is something that I didn't touch... woops. Thanks for posting!!!
As for news, where is it linked from? Perhaps the site map? Hmmm, I might just delink it for now, I thought I had, but I guess not. I DID put a paragraph at the top saying "this is out of date" but I guess eyes naturally skip that bit.
Thanks for your feedback, most appreciated. I'll post again once I resolve those issues.

Re: Main DIYEFI.org Site Updated! (FINALLY...)
No problem, I thank YOU for working on FreeEMS again!
News are still linked to from the left column, "All news...".
And btw: I have to admit, I'm not on facebook, neither would I like to join. I wouldn't care, if the FreeEMS facebook pages were accessible without registering, but they aren't. Isn't there a better place for the primary source of latest news, maybe, news.htm? I'd say it really puts off new diyefi.org visitors who aren't on facebook..

Re: Main DIYEFI.org Site Updated! (FINALLY...)
Fair point. The FB stuff is just watered down stuff from my thread anyway. If you want the detail you need to go to the thread, FB won't have it. Any suggestions as to how to phrase that? Maybe I can get an rss feed or something from the fb page and use it on the main site as content. I just want one place to don updates, and the static html has proven to not be convenient to change regularly...
As for working on it again... I'm always doing something, sometimes it's just not obvious... Sorry about that.

Re: Main DIYEFI.org Site Updated! (FINALLY...)
I don't know what foreign-content-import functions facebook supplies, but if it supports RSS, my suggestion would be to install an RSS extension for phpbb and go from there. You could then use some script (PHP, Perl, doesn't matter) on the news page itself to display your diary thread data, or generate the html for the news site with a cronjob. Plus it would be available in my favorite RSS reader And maybe facebook too...
All news the same, least amount of work in the long run, I guess?
Greets, Stefan
EDIT before even posting: I just googled, Facebook can import RSS: http://www.ehow.com/how_2031209_import-rss-feed.html

Re: Main DIYEFI.org Site Updated! (FINALLY...)
OK, perhaps I need to go ahead and setup a freeems and diyefi.org blog and stream the content to facebook, AND the news page?
As for importing the thread data, that's a no go, I post lots of techy (and personal) crap in that thread and for news and/or facebook, only key stuff like releases and new sites and updated sites and so on and so forth should go up. I want to keep it sort of dumbed down so that non-tech people can stay interested and keep up with the play, if you see what I mean.
Thanks for your advice!

Re: Main DIYEFI.org Site Updated! (FINALLY...)
I guess a news page would also contain things that I wouldn't post in my diary thread from time to time. I can't think what right now, but MegaSquirt related information and other non-FreeEMS-firmware stuff won't appear there. Just a thought.
