Scheduled Down Time

Post by Fred »

This down time is outside my control, and the current uptime of 190 days will be lost.

Code: Select all

 fred@raptor:~$ uptime
 23:24:16 up 190 days, 10:14, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00
Disastria, emergencia, ruin, tragedia! :-(

The down time will occur at or after this time/date:

August 23, 2012 at 8:00p.m. PDT (11:00p.m. EDT).

I will endeavour to make sure that everything is safe and sound by then.

Bump

Code: Select all

fred@raptor:~$ uptime
 08:55:52 up 210 days, 19:43, 2 users, load average: 0.12, 0.07, 0.08
Just a reminder that this will happen any day/hour now. I don't know if I'll get more warning than what I already have or not.

Loss of uptime makes baby Jesus cry.

FYI:
We have scheduled a maintenance window for the physical server your VPS is hosted on:

Thursday, June 6, 2013 between 3:00 AM and 11:00 AM UTC
(Wednesday, June 5, 2013 between 8:00 PM and 4:00 AM PDT)

Downtime from this maintenance is expected to be less than 120 minutes
I may actually force it sooner than that. I'll let you know what I decide.

OK, easy decision, will spend tomorrow on further backups/maintenance, then migrate it manually on Friday morning while all of you yanks are fast asleep.
