Watch this, then get on the phone and let those bastards in D.C. know that they're in trouble if they support this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9h2dF-IsH0IIf this shit goes ahead, I'll be fucking tempted to setup IP blocking on this server to remove it from U.S. users. That's how much I care. If you have phoned your representative, post in this thread to let me know that I shouldn't do that. Thank you for your time. Fred.

Phoned my rep and sent nasty email. Sadly, there are several other bills in the works that seem just as bad. The more that is revealed, the more it seems like a grab for control and not just anti-piracy. Much anger here stateside. Just waiting for the govt to pull the "its for the protection of children" card. Ive always thought it would take the govt taking away the internet before the people rise up in revolt. Sadly now I think it will take a bit more than that.

well, due to the american occupation, I expect the same shit here in russia in next half year. today I've thought: how comes that it doesn't works -- it is always fails to accept bills which defends your rights. that was 3 or 4 of them last year, and all was declined. but when it comes with a buck of bucks, it will be received, no matter how antihuman it is. after all, the root of all troubles there is democratic elections. I'm against elections at all: if you need to repair your tv, you are going to professionals, but if you need to make some law work, you are going to some unresponisible son of a bitch, who can not repair tv and can not do anything at all, but will sell you and himself as fast as possible. I want Stalin to return.

So if I understand this correctly all MS would have to do is accuse you of copyright infringement, the site would be blocked, and paypal would have to shut down your donate button. Leaving you with no coarse of action to prove otherwise. I wouldn't like it, but I wouldn't blame you for blocking all US IPs. My favorite site for reading about how corporations, excuse me, the government is currently trying to screw people over. https://www.eff.org/

That wasn't what I was thinking, but potentially yes, I guess. The donate button wouldn't hurt, no one uses it anyway :-) I've been a member of the EFF for some time, I get their email spam regularly. Another good link which seems promising: http://www.pcworld.com/article/248525/s ... n_act.html
