I have three types of data on the box:
1) Stuff in git repos (that's all of the html and php sites)
2) Stuff in databases (mainly just this forum, the others are pretty static and will be converted to static at some point)
3) System setup/config, no, that's in git, too ;-) mostly.
4) Downloads and random files which could vanish tomorrow and i wouldn't care.
1 is taken care of, I just need to automate it a little more than it is and add some checks for my behaviour
2 should be automated, but currently is not, I do it periodically, especially after a burst of great forum info that I do not want to lose
3 is taken care of in 1 mostly
4 doesn't matter much
The host has a service, but it's no good for the database because of the way it works, so there's no point using it.
We're not in bad shape overall, the main thing is that I dump the forum regularly.
