I just had someone tell me the jargon was a bit much. I can see that that is easily true, so I suggested a Glossary thread. Ask your questions here and I'll put the answers in this thread incrementally :

ECT-Engine Coolant Temperature [Fred: not on this site, or in ms land that I've seen, here this means Enhanced Capture Timer]
CHT-Cylinder Head Temperature
MAT-Manifold Air Temperature
IAT-Intake Air Temperature
MAP-Manifold Absolute Pressure
MAF-Mass Air Flow
VAF-Volume Air Flow
TPS-Throttle Position Sensor
CPS-Crank Position Sensor
EGT-Exhaust Gas Temperature
EGO-Exhaust Gas Oxygen
VSS-Vehicle Speed Sensor
MS-Mega Squirt
BS-BullShizzle

PCM = Power train Control Module
What manufactures are calling their ecu's now a days as the ecu does more then just engine management these days.
