"Soviet military" bulkhead connectors

Post by volvoguy »

1) At 3A, 250V, and 0-3MHz, are these connectors suitable to use for everything on the engine?
2) Would you go anywhere near them or do you think they would be a great way to introduce gremlins?

I know that there are various Chinese manufacturers who produce a never-ending supply of cheap, fake Soviet goods for the CCCP fanboy market, but these are cheap and CCCP is cool! :) I got some nice Ampseal connectors for the EMS housing itself and it would be a shame to introduce a weak point, I guess I want to know how badly a connector can actually be made, if I solder the wires and maybe use some zinc paste on the pins what's the worst that can happen, is it worth the risk?
