Like I said, he sucks at articulating himself.

This thread is about same load points having different detonatability in each gear or same gear under different circumstances.

What he's trying to do is come up with a scheme for using a non-conservative map for short duration load and a conservative one for long duration load.

Think 8k RPM 250kPa just before shift on drag strip vs same at top of 5th on salt. Different ball games.

Typically you tune to the 5th/salt scenario and lose power on the strip. Or you tune to the strip, and blow up your engine on the salt.

No mandated sentence order, but mandated question mark count == 1. :-p
