I'm only guessing, but I'd be surprised if you couldn't use a standalone ignition system. As for the idle valve, what do you mean by bypass it, and what do you want to achieve?

on the idle valve is this just on the LHjet or doe's it need to work with the stock volvo igntion? my L-jet stock feul injection system cannot handle the up-rated engine , i start to lean out at 4600 rpm.. due to the limitations of L-jet.. thats why i am trying to put on lh-jet on my car i have a sytem off a 1986 volvo 240 sedan..

Sorry! I replied and forgot to authorise the post...

I'm unfamiliar with and unsure about the systems that you're talking about, unfortunately. Perhaps someone else can help. You might be in the wrong place for L-Jet help, though.

This one is fine. What I meant is that the people here are focussed on non-OEM solutions and will only happen to have knowledge of those systems. If you approach a community dedicated to the cars that those systems came from, you'll find that they know the intricate details of them and will be better able to help you. Make sense? :-)

alfaromeoguy,

You will probably have better feedback if you post questions about your Volvo LH jet system at http://forums.turbobricks.com
