Isn't that just a work of art? I like it a lot better than the modern tial style ones myself.

Re: Really nice 1976 wastegate design
Next time I'm at my Fathers shop, I'll snap a few shots of the one that's over there. they're pretty large, fitting one in a tight space would be difficult. They are a nice design though.
Re: Really nice 1976 wastegate design
Yeah, I could see that they would be fairly "un-compact". Pics would be cool :-) Looking forward to it.

engine driven centrifugal supercharger ;-)
"turbo" is a newish word really.
usually (but not in that link) superchargers are "positive displacement", turbos and those are just pressure based. The air gets "flung" out by the rotational speed creating pressure and flow.

Re: Really nice 1976 wastegate design
Alright Fred, you convinced me last night to come back from my hiatus. First, the long lost pictures of this wastegated monstrosity:
Second, I'm sending you an e-mail right now containing the LH2.4 wiring diagrams as a little motivational tool

Thank you!
The pics are very interesting, it is bulky though, isn't it!
I've received your email and will check it out at the first opportunity :-)
It was nice to meet you the other evening, perhaps we'll meet again some day!
Fred.
