Yeah, figured the dust was at least part of it. He also has no collect/shield/extract going on on his machine.

Well, as expected, stuff shows up some time in life :)

Not exactly what I had wished for, but it's already done a job so it's been paid for. I might be able to swivel the band into vertical position, haven't tried that yet. Needs a perpendicular table.

Cost me 200 € and 20 km car ride, and had five new belts extra. Pre-owner could "socially redistribute" these from his workplace, but they were too long, so he added some spacers. Once I've used them, I can remove those spacers and buy fitting ones.

Nice! And nice score, too. 10/10 :-) Need to find one to borrow to finish up the work on the vice stand. And someone to mill the brackets for the vice itself. Or mod my drill press more and do it myself... hmmm.. :-)
