To lighten the picture load per page I'll post again with a TODO list for the block strip:

1) Drain oil from sump into tray and transfer to bottle for disposal
2) Remove rear main seal housing and seal with it
3) Remove front cover/oil pump
4) Remove front studs
5) Turn upside down and remove the sump
6) Remove the rod bolts carefully
7) Remove the pistons and rods carefully, clean, oil, and box/bag up for later use
8) Remove the main caps
9) Remove the crankshaft for comparison with B230F crank
10) Replace the main caps, for now

Hopefully I can get the bulk of that done before the weekend is out :-)

Might use the bare block to size up some 240 sedan mounting in an easier way than trying to drop an entire B234F in there...

Only got 1 and 2 done, and some clean up around it. Then went and got the Volvo 360 to get a 20l bottle from it for the drained oil. And this happened:

Definitely doing a high compression hot cammed ITB equipped engine using the third DOHC head that I have! :-D

150hp stock, somewhere up toward 200hp @ crank should be easy enough to get.

Cheap spare B234F fully stripped down! Time to organise the parts and move toward a built engine scenario.

I need to snap a couple of extra photos and upload, but in a new post. Give me a few...
