Key board + red wine =

Not very happy keyboard and new invention called "desk keyboard".

What is particularly disappointing is that the thing appears to be sealed and non serviceable! hmmm, so i just put it under the tap and flooded it hard out, plucked all the keys off, flung it around till no drips came out, vacuumed the two usb ports, and stuck it somewhere very warm to evaporate the last of...

I'll know in the morning if it's going to work or not, fingers crossed.

Same keyboard exactly?

The thing is, the most valuable part of that keyboard were the 2, 4 ; ' keys which are all @#$%ed up on british versions. If it comes down to it, I'll buy a UK one and put my keys on it. UK keyboards are a pain for a programmer though...

Thanks for the luck :-)

I actually did the same thing with coke and my old cell phone, flushed it with high pressure water and got it hot for 24 hours, and it worked sweet for years after. Fingers crossed.

sweet!

I have had mixed luck with liquids and electronics. Like your phone example that has happened to four of my phones two of which I was able to revive. Electrolysis is the devil.

Putting the device in a container of uncooked rice is good for drying out drowned electronics.

Solid advice! I usually use heat, but that's a good option too, probably better in many ways depending on what the device is.

BTW, I'm still using this keyboard 3 years and several countries later! :-)
