Does anyone have a few good project templates that they could share?

I'm trying to find some that would be useful for tracking development work and document progress.
For eg. developing a circuit (like a turbo timer as an example),
developing a new automotive part,
developing an automated piece of machinery.

Any help would be appreciated.

Could you clarify? There are multiple aspects that I don't quite understand :-)
