I use it on a Dell AXIM X51V. I like the transflective display. I haven't been able to find that kind of display on a dedicated GPS device. I simply use my wifi when at home to download maps, and plot routes. Then when I'm on the road, even though, I don't have Internet, it uses the local cache, and lets me go.

The thing I sacrifice by not having 3G or on the road Internet is on the fly re-routing and audible alarms. I'm basically happy with it.

Gimpy, perhaps I spoke too soon!

I'm looking at maps and beds and this is what I have :

Los Angeles
San Diego
Pheonix
Salt Lake City
Denver
Gimpy-ville
chicago
New York
atlanta
florida

fly back to LA and then fly home

something like this :

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&do ... 57&t=h&z=5

corrections, additions, suggestions "oh, go see landmark X, its 2 miles out of your way" etc are all welcome :-)

ROFL - "I'll call it any fucking thing I want to call it!"

LOL, he's absolutely insane and yet quite sane, the man has a lot of sensible things to say! I wonder if he has read Catch 22?

Highly amusing!

Hmmmm, maybe, maybe not, there is this old guy in Canada (Calgary) that I really wanna meet, so I may go meet him near the border, really not sure yet. It's a bit continent and I kinda feel like I won't do justice to all of one country let alone 2 or 3. Place your offers though, we will see :-)

For reference, I only need a flat bit of floor and some running water :-)

Put a post up if you get over to the land of Oz at the end of your trip.
Not sure if I will be in N.S.W. A.C.T. or W.A. at the time but it's worth a try.

I also showed the guys at the Sydney PIC-club the DIY-EFi website lastnight (they are interested in all types of MicroController projects, picclub.factors-online.com http://www.sesame.com.au/pic_club.htm). Hope that it generates a little more interest in the project.

If you'd just head farther South on your way to Atlanta, you could crash on my couch.
