The obvious choice is youtube, of course, however I was watching a high res video in html5 in vimeo earlier, and it was smooth when youtube won't even stream smoothly to me in 240 res.

Which got me thinking... maybe I should support some other business, not google, by hosting my material there first, and lagging by a week on youtube.

So, what's good, what sucks, why, upsides, downsides, pure unjustified opinions, whatever you've got. Hit me.

vimeo isnt free to upload videos onto.

It is, but looking at what you get for free, it's very limited. I do like it, though. Maybe in future when I'm not poor/broke/destitute.

It actually doesn't seem so bad at all. I wonder how the content looks with the advertising, though. You should've told me to "search, n00b" :-) Some resources:
