China forum members - I need your assistance please

Post by Dan »

Hi Guys,

If there are any forum members who are located in China I may need your assistance. I am looking to purchase a product from a manufacturer at the following address:

Wuxi Compul Electronics Co., Ltd.
No. 57, West Huangwen Road, Guijing, Yixing, Jiangsu, China.

The air freight they have quoted me at present appears to be very expensive. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to collect some goods from them that I will pay for prior to collection and then ship the box of items to me in Australia via FedEX or DHL at my cost?

Anybody?

Cheers,

Dan

yes I have a small order I am placing with them. I want someone to hopefully collect it for me and post it to me via FedEX or DHL as the company themselves have quoted $300 USD just for freight, which I think is a bit extreme.

Is that address close to you HotCat?

Dan, I can help as well.

I also suggestTaobao.com because secured product payment can be made online without bank remittance fee.
Vendor score/history and product reviews are more transparent.
Please let PM us what product you are ordering, let's see can figure out a better source from Taobao.com or not.

I have checked Compul Electronics did not have taobao shop online.

According to Google Map, the city WuXi that Compul Electronics located is 1000km apart from HotCat Beijing and 1550km apart from my ShenZhen office.
Also 1620km apart from my home@ Hong Kong.

You can specify a consignee address of my office, as soon as I receive your goods, I'll send to you via FedEX. If you prefer, I'll pm my office address.

According to my experience, I pay for the post fee of Innovate LC1 for $29 from USA, can you descript the volume and weight of your goods and I can help evaluating the post fee

I've successfully installed Innovate LC1 on my car and my FreeEMS board was finished and submit to manufacture. If you have more spare time helping Dan, I think it is a good idea so that I can pay more time on FreeEMS

LOL!

I need the biggest seven segment display modules I can get my hands on.

The ones I want from Wuxi Compul have 20 inch digit height and are common anode.

Bottom of this page - http://www.compul-led.com/showproduct.asp?id=128

Wuxi Compul part number is CPS200011

Their datasheet that they emailed me is also attached to this post.

I want 5 of them!

300usd doesn't sound so bad all of a sudden! :-) Might pay to get quotes from the other shipping companies before trying to save bucks on it.

They quoted $56.50 USD each per seven segment module, which is reasonable considering I three other quotes from other manufacturers in China that are around $100 USD per module and a quote from the USA for $240 USD a module!

I just thought the freight was a bit steep! I mean they pack 5 modules per box and I can't picture them weighing that much.
