Here you have a genuine example of the finest quality Chinese manufactured welding safety equipment. This equipment is fairly exclusive and not able to be purchased in most countries due to supply volume issues and local demand. I was privileged to get to not only see, but also touch and try on a genuine specimen while in China a year or two back. Here are the photos:

• One: What are the spec's of this fantastic looking mask? Is it auto darking?

Yes indeed, it auto darkens by burning your retinas while you weld. Yes, it's open sauce, all you need to make your own is in the above images. Best of luck. Please post pics.

You can find a good Business Insider slideshow of a handful here. Pretty creepy. Contract welders, no doubt, did their part by using the above (ahem) safety equipment.
