pro: much harder (impossible?) to money-shift
What does that mean?
con: (at least on bimmers and other cars with exh manifolds on the pass side) very hard to route turbo plumbing
True!
Oh yea and you don't need your steering hand to be stronger, unless you don't have power-steering.
Not so true. Most people have significantly better motor skills in the hand they use more often. Ability to control with finesse is important when you are going properly fast :-)

Reality : which ever one you get used to you will also get good at :-)

If they were people, they'd drive LHD cars. Perhaps RHD is better for hanging your head in shame in, somehow. :-)

But you do get used to whatever it is you do. BTW: Baja was the same way - the lanes are narrower, and you just try to time when you're going to pass an oncoming truck so that there are no rock formations on your outside so you can give him at least 25-30% of your lane, because they DO take it. Scary for the first couple weeks.

Sounds like BMW build funky gear selectors?

Yes, who hasn't done that once or twice. I did it in an auto years ago, puffed some smoke and carried on though. That was an NA BP in a Lantis. I did it regularly in the girls levin but on purpose. I did it to a rental corolla with less than 1000 miles on it a bunch of times in a row because it had such a low redline that I kept shifting down into gears that were well finished with.

More of a problem for me has been gearbox bucking on the shift and hitting the gate resulting in a mis shift. FWDs don't suffer from this. FWDs just suffer from being FWD :-)

Fred awesome stickerage/photo shopping!

RHD for greater steering precision. promotes ambidexterity in 90% of right handed people

LHD because the USA don't have corners, have such softly sprung wallowy suspension that if you had your strong hand on the wheel you would most likely topple the car over at the nearest intersection, and because you mostly drive autos so you can eat and drink with your right hand! :P

Also by the time us guys are old enough to drive of course you right arm is like Popeye's and the left like Olive Oyl's, ah those teenage years eh?!?!

Perhaps I could get some talented individual (not me) to do some similar photo-chopping of a future video if I ever make one? :-)
