Grrrr, UPS

Post by jharvey »

So Farnell shipped me a package, UPS claims it was left on our porch, however I didn't received it. It's claimed to have been on our porch for up to 1hr, before we would have returned home and theft is very unlikely. Especially in such a short window. UPS basically told me to stuff it. They told me to contact Farnell, which is an international call for me, and I many time zones away. So I would have to call in the middle of the night.

So I won't be ordering from Farnell any time soon, and I'll avoid using UPS. I'm quite certain the issue is with UPS not with Farnell, however I really need a support mechanism I can actually use. I can't do much more than consider this as a loss and go order it from somewhere else. Perhaps I can file a claim with my credit card company to recoup costs.

Grrrrr UPS.

Also UPS failed to follow through on my filed claim. I had to wait a week, then when they didn't respond in the time frame they indicated, I called and found out they didn't plan to react to my claim. So that's a double Grrrr UPS.

Grrrrr UPS.
