List of Wizards desired/required

Post by Fred »

Just noting down a list of wizard tuning app features needed to make life reasonable. Post up with any I miss:
  • TPS setup assistant
  • BRV calibration/fine-tuning assistant
  • Output scheduling wizard
  • Thermistor (IAT/CHT/etc) curve library, generator and viewer
  • Decoder offset assistant
  • MAP/AAP sensor library and assistant (for unknown sensors)
  • MAF sensor library and 1D parametric tuner (for unknown sensors)
  • Capacity to cylinder volume assistant (unit converter)
  • Injector flow library and assistant (mass-volume flow conversion, pressure scaling)
  • Fuel type library and blend calculator (density and stoich)
  • Tacho config wizard (configure settings based on decoder setup)
  • RPM calculation config wizard (future setup is highly configurable and decoder dependent)
Of those, TPS, BRV and decoder offset are very simple tools and should likely be done first.

Thermistor curve gen/view is pretty easy, maybe do this next.

Scheduling wizard is tricky/complex, this is a "later" thing for sure. MUST have advanced/manual mode, too. Will likely be profile based eg:
  • Distributor
  • Dual distributor
  • Wasted spark
  • COP/CNP
  • Sequential
  • Semi-sequential
  • Multi-shot
  • Ugly long pulses
  • V-twin
Or something like that.
