Alright need some testing from people if you all don't mind.

http://mikesshop.net/EMStudio/
Latest "Dev (Totally unstable)" builds,
Windows installer
Ubuntu 32bit installer
Source Code

Also available on dev branch of git (https://github.com/malcom2073/emstudio), commit hash fa5aaf340fbef198d43c68a3e39b18356c9bd605.

Should be HEAD of dev for a while, until further testing is complete, but if you're going to compile from source please verify commit hash.

I need testing for this issue: http://issues.freeems.org/view.php?id=684
Specifically, I am trying to ensure that the logic in this table: http://issues.freeems.org/file_download ... 2&type=bug is in place. We want to make sure the save/load from ram/flash buttons act properly for different locationid's as they should.

If this needs more clarification, let me know.

pretty sure i have qt 4 and it's packages.

that's emstudio not working for me atm.

hmmm... any clues to advance on that one?
Got this via email, asked him 3x to post. Pasting, please help him. Hopefully he learns that posting is a good thing, period.

Agreed. If he dosen't post, I can't help him in any reasonable amount of time. Looks like he's missing qjson (http://qjson.sourceforge.net/). Most distros have it in their repositories, so he needs to look up his local manual pages to find out how to search for it, and install it.

Also, this line:
root@linuxlaptop:~/git/emstudio# qmake libqwt-dev libqt4-declarative libqjson-dev
He's using qmake wrong. He needs to re-read http://emstune.com/ for instructions on how to compile.

Right, he should have had "apt-get install" in place of qmake.

Looks like he is using Debian Stable (squeeze), might want to let him know to use Testing or Unstable instead...

I decided to write to Fred as my diary so I had a list of things to compile as questions for the forum.
That way he can do some squeaky Spanish happy farts as he'll see that I'm actually doing something.
If he so chose he could get in first to add to comments/fixes/abuse as he saw fit.
Then I don't have a messy thread with 18 questions 2 answers and 24 edits which the people who provided the first two answers to won't re-read as I should have a nicely framed set of questions in the first place from A - B.
All of which I told him but...
Fucking is a great word to spell and fun to say.
I've been reading many threads on here which run like that and if you're not reading it and staying current with EACH thread every day it's pretty hard to keep up with/LOOK for the answers you want instead of ASKING.
"
Re: FreeEMS_Loader
Yep, Fred replied with what I was about to say. I need to update the docs etc. You will have to build the serialIOLib before you can sucessfully compile the loader though. Let me look at the docs and see what I can fill in. Do try qmake && make from the src/ dir .
"
Oh there's an answer to a question I found just now but I'd already figured that one out and was going to write Problem -> Solution in my thread of "here we go, dedicated linux machine for my puma"
And now I think I'd rather just push my ute... down a hill... after setting it alight... after some midnight ANFO mixing in the bed... after some chemistry because I feel like being a teenager with mercury fulminate again. GLORY DAYS!
Glory days well they'll pass you by
Glory days in the wick of a bomb staying dry
Glory days, glory days

p.s: thanks for the answers

Hurrah, all are working.
MegaTunix, FreeEMS loader, emstudio.
But I see that I've gone and set up a linux machine only to find I can't use Spudmans USBDM on it. lol.
But at least a fucktard like me can get shit running. 3 thumbs up.
