Re: Jaguar 0.7-alpha kits For Sale

From my perspective, it's a great little board with one major flaw: Power supply noise immunity. Whilst it is vastly better than the earliest one with the incorrect ground plane situation under the MCU I think it's still not really good enough for the harsh environment that they live in. On some car...

Re: A-frame Design & Construction Thread

Assumption above is that the 650 points are symmetrical - they may not be - I should check that before placing any A-frame bolt holes in the contraption.

Re: A-frame Design & Construction Thread

Next victim has strong points centred on 650mm so a total of 66mm outside that to the centres of the bolts and thus 33 per side, minus half of the thickness of these strong points = centres of bolts are 33 minus 6 = 27 out from the strong points - minus another max 12 for plate, likely 10 or even 6 ...

Re: A-frame Design & Construction Thread

660mm inside edge to inside edge, 56mm width of hinge brackets = 716mm width, centre to centre, not 720, so I'll have to bore those hotel holes out to 16mm each to make it slip on fine, I guess that's okay for a one-off - not terrible anyway. Oops.

Re: Fred's "Hotel Hyundai" 1988 Stellar! (3rd)

Well, about 2 years ago was the last time it ran, and about 3.5 the last time it was legal, but the other day I got it going again by reducing sync confirmations to the minimum for resync (min is 1, setting is 0 in raw form). Took it for a drive, still smoky, old stale fuel low octane and/or low fro...

Re: A-frame Design & Construction Thread

Centre to centre spacing of bolts with current/caravan spacer set up and I think that's the same for the ute is approx 720mm and the bolt holes are on 40mm centres up and down or back and forward depending on what you're doing. 12.5mm min bolt holes, 14 gives some wiggle room and room for error. I'l...

Well, if you can do it without cutting/chopping/destroying then go right ahead - that's my general approach to all classic car mods :-)

Re: 13b Swapped SA22C 1980 Rx7

Neat car! Does 6 port mean renesis? Or is it an FC/FD engine or some sort?

I vote against the FC subframe swap, but hey, this vote means nothing. Intent: keep the car mostly original in the tin and structure - it's an appreciating classic :-)

Hilarious that you drive it around in the snow :-D

Re: New to Embedded Programming - Curious About EMS Software Architecture

Wrong section, but it can stay for now :-) I'll move it later when you're ready. 13b - how hard can it be? Not very. Just need more than average IO for a "four cylinder" because factory staged injection. Answers: Yes/no/maybe - you'll be able to answer this yourself when you start writing ...
