trying to compile on debian stretch which has qt5.7.. there are many problems. I'm using Mike's git repo. main problem is declarative class has been obsoleted. Re: Neil's Fiat/Bertone X1/9

Progress halted as my other project car blew up. But while I'm waiting for the engine to come back from the machine shop (much delayed) I was able to do some more work. Some before and after pics of the interior. Behind is new brake and clutch masters, new reservoirs, new heater matrix, repaired ven...

Re: Neil's Fiat/Bertone X1/9

Thanks Ivan. Yes rivnuts might have been better on the pipe brackets. I still can do that I guess. But I think I was justified with the belly pan seeing as I was replacing spot welds. I have a air riveter which gives me a great feeling of power and when I have it in my hands everything I see at look...

How many ways can a PO stuff up? Let me count the ways

Re: Masterkorp's Jaguar 0.4 alpha build.

To start the ball rolling.... Fuel pump works by grounding the relay, and has its own ground for this purpose. BRV - yes, just don't use anything that might get voltage drops across it. I'll leave the rest to the more knowledgeable.

Re: Neil's Fiat/Bertone X1/9

The finished product, car is back on the road although it will soon be taken off again to do a engine out serpentine belt conversion with a triggerwheel. And to to check the block of course. Plenty of work to do. I've also acquired a hotter cam.

Re: Neil's Fiat/Bertone X1/9

The pipes were then fitted and held in place temporarily with cable ties. I put some rivnuts on the inner pipe supports so when the bottom cover was riveted on I could bolt them tight to stop any rattles. I also glued some rubber to the inside of the bottom cover. pipes_in.jpg front_view_finished.jp...

Re: Neil's Fiat/Bertone X1/9

Interlude: the driver's floor was rusted right through. Thoroughly cleaned with wire wheel and rust remover, coated with rust converter, sanded, etched primed and painted with anti-rust paint before being glass fibred and covered with sound block.
