So I'm priming the oil pump with a cordless drill. Eagerly I watch the cam bearing for the first signs of oil. Nothing. Presently I notice I'm standing in a spreading pool of oil. Forgot to put the oil filter on! Sheepishly install oil filter. Try again. Nothing. Suddenly a minor explosion and OLD, ...

Acknowledged.. may I insert a "I told you so" here as I pointed this out when Fred was in Canada. At the time I could offer no technical I reason, I just thought it was an inconsistency in the bom.

All are usb2 or 3. Remember it used to work.

So when I removed the isolator, one of the legs fell off. I bridged TX, RX and ground (not the 5v). Now I can can connect with emstudio but seemingly only with windows!
