Chrysler 42RE Transmission Controller Brainstorming

Hi all, it's me again. Back with another personal project that is likely to get abandoned, but hey it's the thought that counts... A friend of mine is going to run his Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 on Megasquirt (blasphemy!) because he is supercharging it. He was just planning on keeping his stock PCM to ...

Re: BMW M52b28 coil information

Based on the fact that it shows the ignitors in the engine control module, I would say you are correct ;)

Re: E.M. based on a Parallax Propeller micro controller

Actually my reason for abandoning it had nothing to do with the presence of another project, just the fact that I gave up :D This is the functioning EFI system you allude to... http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?123303-Propeller-EFI-with-spark-control-and-Idle-and-Boost-and-more.-Running-4500...

Re: E.M. based on a Parallax Propeller micro controller

A couple of years ago I has aspirations of creating a propeller-based ECU I abandoned it long ago, but I have left everything online. Warning: there are lots of broken links/redundant pages. http://spindrive.sourceforge.net/ This sub-page has some good tables on it, but that's as far as I got http:/...

Re: Reasons For Lambda Table Naming

Haven't found what Ford calls it yet, but I did stumble across these specs for the processors in their modern ECUs: MPC565: 32 Bit Microcontroller (used in Mustang GT S197) The MPC565 is a member of a MPC500 family of microprocessors that implements the PowerPC instruction standard architecture. The...

Re: Powerpoint Presentation on aircraft FADEC design

It's not too difficult to tell the ECU to change modes when the TPS reaches a specific threshold. True, but over the life of the vehicle pot voltages will change for the same position and you can't really recalibrate as you have no other frame of reference for your calibration. WOT would be difficu...

Re: Powerpoint Presentation on aircraft FADEC design

I haven't seen the use of WOT switches in anything I've worked on that is newer than 95-ish. It's not too difficult to tell the ECU to change modes when the TPS reaches a specific threshold. Some later-90s vehicles which cover a broad spectrum, none of which use idle/WOT switches for the ECU: 1993 V...
