Re: Show And Tell
I was putting a culvert in a ditch with a 1950s ~25 hp tractor/backhoe, and in its old age it won't pull itself up steep hills. So I was planning on using my truck to tow it around. I started up the steepest hill I had to climb in first gear doing about 2000RPM without even towing the backhoe yet, a...

Re: Fred's FreeEMS Presentation In Reaktor, Warsaw, Poland
I hate public speaking with a passion. So it's always fun for me to watch somebody else that doesn't look very comfortable speaking in front of a crowd. I've checked the Reaktor account several times for the full video. Speaking of being good at fixing cars is the diesel running correctly yet?

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u115/Tigerbalm2424/MISC/troller13.jpg I like the idea of rotating and mechnically locking a torsion axle better than a system completely reliant on compressed air. Even if the hydraulic or air system failed you could probably jack the frame up, lock it, and still ...

Re: Show And Tell
I just milled the quench off. I figure it's a better solution that putting a J30 crank in a J35 which would lower the compression down to around 7:1, and make for a small displacement engine. I only ordered one piston just to see how thin it would make the top, but I don't have a micrometer with jaw...

Re: Board Usage Statistics - COMMENTS
How come you don't have stats on people who have said they bought a TA card, and got lost in the DIY process? I'm only at 50% with my TA cards.

Re: Ideas For High Side Drivers
http://i.imgur.com/iklMI8Kl.jpg In line with my usual sub par documenting. I have no idea what any of the unlabeled values are, and it seems like I ended up putting a 0.1 Ohm resistor next to the coil for some reason. It didn't seem to make my vtec work so it didn't get installed on my current boar...

Re: Feeler For Interest In Next 10 Of Andy's 0.6-alpha Jagua
I suppose I wouldn't mind eliminating a few of my diy board problems if EssEss doesn't want that board. Or I could probably just lay claim to Fred's board if I'd come up with a vehicle for him to drive from LA to Canuckland. :-p

Re: Show And Tell
So I ordered a used flywheel off ebay, it wasn't in terrible shape, but it sort of needed resurfacing for the "burn"/scuff/funny marks. http://i.imgur.com/EeWKdWQl.jpg The machine shop that I've always had my flywheels resurfaced at didn't want to or couldn't resurface a dual mass flywheel...
