US sources for me 1 Digikey 2 Future electronics 3 Mouser 4 Jameco I also buy stuff on Ebay ( huge surplus stuff resistors,capacitors,leds,ect) as you can buy big lots for nothing mostly surplus over stock parts but some super deals if you look around this can save you alot of money when it comes to...

Very cool car i have never seen a Mazda Cosmo before the only thing we have over here with a rotary is the RX7.

One more thing to consider is the heat the D2pak style will transfer into the board seeing as it will use the board as a heat sink and if you have 24 FET's,mosfets,IGBT's all transferring heat into the board it might cause additional problems but i could be wrong . +1 keep it basic at first then work your way into more complex stuff its always easier to add what you need than to add to much get confused and have a mess . I propose that for ignition duties, sufficient places for to220 packages are put aside for on board drivers.
